Challenge: Impatient prospects and leads that were wrong and late
Toyota had implemented a sales automation system to automate the distribution of leads to its network of dealers. While the system succeeded in driving leads to dealers, the system’s native entry forms were not liked by promoters at auto shows. Entering data was slow and potential prospects would become impatient. Toyota went back to paper forms, which would later be entered into the system. The use of paper forms created data quality issues as they were often illegible and incomplete. Leads would get to the dealers with at least one day of delay.
Solution: A much improved sales support tool
User-friendly, with buttons that are easy to tap and fields that fill in automatically.
Prospect-engaging, allowing customers to participates with promoters while they are entering contact information and learning about Toyota cars.
Connected to Toyota’s CRM system provided by Salesforce.com, which includes existing back-end processes like dealer lead assignment, follow up communications and dashboard reporting.
Result: Fully automated process + satisfied prospects, promoters and dealers
Toyota first used the Promoter Lead Capture App in the Puerto Rico International Auto Show. This is the largest autoshow of the year, lasting two weeks. Toyota and Scion brands were exhibited and attended by over 10 promoters using the new App on tablets.
