Chubb Insurance of Puerto Rico, a subsidiary of a global top 20 insurance conglomerate, previously relied solely on outbound telemarketing to sell accident and health insurance policies. Although initially effective, outbound telemarketing is costly and reaches only a limited consumer group. Therefore, Chubb wanted to expand its target market and provide the convenience of a direct, low cost, digital channel for anyone interested in purchasing an accident or health insurance policy.
Solution:
The seamless solution involved using Social Lead Generation and the Salesforce platform to engage interested consumers, highlight the benefits of the insurance, and enable purchases through a self-service e-commerce website.
Targeted Facebook and Google Ads are placed to attract interested consumers to a product landing page where they can leave their information to receive a call with more information or continue to purchase the insurance online.
If a consumer opts to receive a call, the lead is stored in Salesforce for call center follow-up. Alternatively, consumers ready to purchase are guided through the process on the e-commerce website built on Salesforce, from providing contact information to selecting the best plan. Salesforce integrates with Chubb’s core system via an API, posting payments and generating new policies in real-time. The customer then receives a confirmation email from Salesforce that includes his new policy and related information.
